Digital Direction is running a range of free introductory training sessions to help small businesses and sole traders in selecting and implementing IT and digital technologies. FAQs
Who’s this for? These courses are suitable for anyone with basic computer and internet knowledge and an interest in getting the most out of IT for their business. More advanced versions of courses may be available where there is demand.
What’s covered? See the list below for the options in the coming period, which include hot topics such as e-commerce, online marketing and flexible working as well as selecting the right solution for your business.
How long? The sessions are half day (3 hours) or full day (6 hours) and are delivered by experienced qualified trainers with business experience.
Where? They are held at the extensively equipped Training Foundry, based in the Eric Mensforth Building (Level3) of Sheffield Hallam University on Sheaf Street. The courses are designed as a personal experience, with a maximum of 12 delegates per session. On occasions where only one company is involved we can run the session on your own site.
How much does it cost? These courses are free to qualifying Sheffield-based small businesses and sole traders, who can send one or more delegates to any courses that meet their needs.
How can I book? Click on the booking link to request a place on the course of your choice. You’ll get confirmation and joining details by email.
Are there any conditions? The only condition for booking approval is that the business successfully completes a short Digital Direction diagnostic questionnaire before the session. This will be done by telephone between making your booking request and attending the course and is only done once per company, not for every delegate.
