As part of the Onlincolnshire Digital Business Cluster events, a small group of Lincolnshire businesses visited the www.timico.co.uk data centre in Newark. The purpose of the visit was to:

  • Tour the state of the art data centre in Newark, one of several run by Timico across the UK
  • Understand what the cloud offers and how all businesses can adopt cloud operations
  • Examine the many business benefits of using the cloud
  • Make the most of and save costs by using the latest phone technology – Voice over Internet Protocols (VoIP)

Businesses have witnessed and contributed to the recent connectivity and economic growth debate about the High Speed 2 (HS2) and how it is a priority investment to join London with Birmingham and then HS2 links to Leeds and Manchester. We know there is already a commitment to widen the M1 with peak time use of the hard shoulder to improve transport logistics and to reduce business costs and delays. Have we got these priorities right?
