Dragons Invest In York-based Tancream
Richard Lukey, one of our directors, is proud to have helped Tancream on their journey to sun-protection success. Back in August 2018, Richard developed a three-year strategic plan with Katy and Gillian, funded through the Strategic Business Growth Programme run by Leeds City Region LEP. He identified a need for a knowledgeable coach who would demystify their understanding of resource planning, distribution channels and FMCG supply chain.
Enter CDI Associate, Jo Tomlinson. Jo helped the Tancream entrepreneurs ensure their growth plan was robust and crucially, financially sound.
When the pair saw the opportunity to pitch on BBC’s Dragons Den, Jo made sure they were fully ready for investment. She grilled them on everything from finances to manufacturing. It worked! They were primed to successfully secure investment from the dragons and take their unique high-factor suncream and self-tan product forward.
